Informational session will be held on Tuesday, March 26 at 5PM located at 215 Elmwood
Ave (Village Offices), registration is now available
Elmira Heights, N.Y. – Registration is now open for the informational session(s) for the
Village of Elmira Heights Community Development Block Grant Microenterprise Assistance
Program (MAP). The Informational Sessions starting on March 26th and held from 5Pm to
6Pm will provide business owners information regarding the program such as the purpose
of the program, eligibility requirements, application process and project selection process
for those who qualify, what the program funds can and cannot be used for. In addition,
these sessions will provide the Village information about who may be interested in
participating in the program.
In February, it was announced that the Village of Elmira Heights is interested in helping
local businesses, Start-ups, and Entrepreneurs through applying for the Community
Development Block Grant Microenterprise Assistance Program (MAP) through the New
York State Office of Community Renewal. If awarded, the grant will establish a
Microenterprise Assistance Program which could offer eligible businesses grant awards of
$5,000 to $30,000.
The purpose of the Community Development Block Grant Microenterprise Assistance
Program (MAP) is to provide eligible businesses, Start-ups, and Entrepreneurs with
financial assistance, Entrepreneurial training, long-term support in an attempt to improve
the local economic health.
