Welcome to Elmira Heights

Elmira Heights is a quiet community of about 4,200 people, with a Civic Administration Center housing Village Hall, Police, and Fire Departments, Engineering, Code Enforcement, Urban Renewal Agency, and the Village Court. Three beautiful parks grace the area with two of them housing the Little League and the Cinderella League and the third one is complete with a gazebo, concession stand and pavilion, offering concerts and events during the summer.

ZONING BOARD OF
APPEALS

The Elmira Heights Zoning Board of Appeals will meet on August
27, 2019 at 7:00 p.m., at the Elmira Heights Village Hall, 215 Elmwood Avenue,
Elmira Heights, NY. for a proposed area variance. Ms. Amy Troccia of 317
McConnell Avenue is seeking permission to reduce the required setbacks of the
aforementioned R-3 zoned property from 25 feet to 8 feet, in order to
accommodate a deck. All interested parties will be given an opportunity to be
heard at this time.

SPRING BRANCH PICKUP

Elmira Height Village will be picking up branches on the first Monday of every month until October we will only pick up once at each residents until the next Monday of the following month so please have your branches out buy the Sunday the day before. THANK YOU 

Throughout the month the Village residents can take yard waste and branches to BLOSTEIN BLVD. located in Horseheads at the County's Compost Facility(behind Old K-Mart Plaza)

THE SPRING BRANCH PICKUP FOR THE VILLAGE WILL BE CONDUCTED FROM APRIL 1, 2019 UNTIL APRIL 30, 2019 ACCORDING TO THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES:

  1.  STACK BRANCHES NEATLY WITH BUTT ENDS FACING THE SAME DIRECTION
  2.   STACK BRANCHES PARALLEL WITH THE CURB OR STREET
  3. NO LEAVES 
  4. NO GRASS CLIPPINGS OR YARD DEBRIS (can be brought to Blostein Blvd)
  5. NO VINES OR BUSHES WITH ROOTS
  6. NO PILES OF ENTANGLED LILAC BUSHES OR OTHER MATERIAL
  7. NO TREE REMOVAL
  8.  THIS IS NOT A YARD CLEAN UP
  9. PILES NOT CONFORMING TO THESE GUIDELINES WILL BE LEFT AT THE CURBSIDE. 
  10. All vehicles should not be parked in a way that blocks access to piles
