Job Description:
The Deputy Clerk is a part-time administrative assistant to the Clerk-Treasurer, whose duties include but are not limited to the following: customer service via phone and in-person, record-keeping, records disbursement/management, tax collection, accounts payable/receivable, use of office equipment (including computers – internet, word processing, spreadsheets), filing, database management, issuing parking permits, and basic database maintenance. The Deputy Clerk is also expected to be able to schedule, organize, advertise, attend, and take meeting minutes for the Zoning Board of Appeals which occur sporadically throughout the year.
Requirements:
- Authorized to work in the US
- Resides in Chemung County, New York
- High School Diploma
