The village of Elmira Heights is seeking a seasonal employee for the street department.
The candidate will be working outside landscaping village grounds. There is also the possibility of the position becoming per diem for the winter months to help with snow removal on village properties. Applicants must be 18 years of age; a valid driver’s license is a plus!
$15/hr.

The Village of Elmira Heights is soliciting competitive bid pricing for the purchase of Large (33” x 39”) and Small (24” x 31”) garbage bags that meet the below specification. The Village reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantity to remain within budgetary constraints. The Village also reserves the right to cancel the bid purchase. Quotes will be received by providing the completed Garbage Bag Procurement Form to the Village Clerk at 215 Elmwood Avenue, Elmira Heights, NY 14903 by September 8, 2023 at 1pm. TIME TO CONSIDER: The Village reserves the right to consider all bids submitted for a period of thirty (30) days and no bidder will be permitted to withdraw his/her bid during this period.
AWARD: Award of contract will be made on a price basis to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid complies with all the provisions required to render it formal, and whose produce is accepted under the terms of this specification.
The Village Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to waive technical defects in bids and to reject any bid which in the opinion of the Village Board will not adequately answer the requirements of the Village’s service.

The Village of Elmira Heights will be holding a special meeting on July 25, 2023 at 6:30 pm to pass a resolution allowing the village to apply for a Local Government Efficiency Grant and a grant to Empire State Development.
The village will also be discussing code enforcement!
